The Site is operated by Taste of Salt (“us”, “we”, “our” or “Seafoodie.no”).

These terms govern the use of the seafoodie.no website by all users, including those who contribute video content, information, or any other materials, skills, or services through the website, as well as participants in virtual events. The seafoodie.no website may include links to third-party websites not owned or controlled by seafoodie.no. Seafoodie.no bears no control and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of such third-party websites. Additionally, seafoodie.no will neither censor nor edit the content of any third-party site. By utilizing the website, you explicitly release seafoodie.no from any liability arising from your use of any third-party website. Therefore, we strongly advise you to exercise caution when leaving the seafoodie.no website and to review the terms, conditions, and privacy policy of each website you visit.

However, Seasfoodie.no grants public search engine operators permission to use spiders to copy materials from the site solely for creating publicly available searchable indices of the materials, excluding caches or archives. Users failing to respect this provision will be considered in breach of these Terms.

This content is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights under United States and foreign laws and international conventions.

The copyright to all embedded content from third-party creators belong to the respective copyright owners.

Seafoodie.no does not endorse any User Submitted Media and disclaims liability associated with such content. The platform reserves the right to remove content and terminate access for violations, including repeat infringements and inappropriate material.

Intellectual Property Violations:

Seafoodie.no responds to copyright infringement notices in accordance with the DMCA Takedown Policy.

Exposure to User Submitted Media:

In no event shall Seafoodie.no, its officers, owners, directors, employees, or agents be liable to you or your children for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages whatsoever resulting from any:

(ii) Personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to and use of the website and/or service,

Whether in an action of contract, negligence, strict liability, or tort (including, without limitation, whether caused in whole or in part by negligence, acts of God, telecommunications failure, or theft or destruction of the Sites).

In no event will Seafoodie.no Parties be liable to you, your children, or anyone else for loss, damage, or injury, including, without limitation, death or any personal injury. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. In no event will Seafoodie.no Parties’ total liability to you for all damages, losses, or causes of action exceed the total amount you paid to Seafoodie.no in the one hundred and eighty (180) days immediately preceding the date on which you first assert any such claim.

You agree that in the event you incur any damages, losses, or injuries that arise out of Seafoodie.no acts or omissions, the damages, if any, caused to you are not irreparable or sufficient to entitle you to an injunction preventing any exploitation of any website, sites, property, product, or other content owned or controlled by Seafoodie.no Parties. You will have no rights to enjoin or restrain the development, production, distribution, advertising, exhibition, or exploitation of any website, property, product, sites, or other content owned or controlled by Seafoodie.no Parties.

Seafoodie.no is not responsible for the actions, content, information, or data of third parties, and you release us, our directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims and damages, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with any claim you have against any such third parties.

10. INDEMNITY

You hereby agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Seafoodie.no, its subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, including attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to:

(i) Your use of and access to the Website and/or Service;

(ii) Your violation of any term of these Terms;

(iii) Your violation of any third-party right, including but not limited to any copyright, property, or privacy right;

(iv) Any claim that your User Submitted Media caused damage to a third party.

This defense and indemnification obligation shall survive the termination and/or expiration of this Agreement.

11. ELIGIBILITY TO ACCEPT TERMS

By using the Seafoodie.no Website or Service, you affirm that you are either more than 18 years of age, an emancipated minor, or that you possess legal parental or guardian consent. Furthermore, you confirm that you are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, obligations, affirmations, representations, and warranties as outlined in these Terms. Additionally, you commit to abide by and comply with these Terms.

In any case, you declare that you are over the age of 13, as the Seafoodie.no Website and Service are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. If you are under 13 years of age, please refrain from using the Seafoodie.no Website or Service, as there are numerous other websites more suitable for your age group. It is advisable to discuss with your parents which sites are appropriate for you.

12. ASSIGNMENT

These Terms, along with any rights and licenses granted hereunder, may not be transferred or assigned by you. However, Seafoodie.no retains the right to assign them without any restrictions.

13. PARTICIPATION IN VIRTUAL EVENTS

Without detracting from the general provisions above, the subsequent terms and conditions govern your registration, attendance, and/or participation in any virtual event (“Event”) accessed via the Website and/or the Services. In this agreement, “Attendee” encompasses all participants in an Event, including attendees, speakers, and sponsors. By registering, attending, or participating in an Event, you acknowledge and accept the terms below.

Code of Conduct

To foster a safe, productive, and welcoming Event experience, Seafoodie.no expects all Attendees to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

1. Be respectful and considerate in all interactions.

2. Maintain informative, useful, and relevant communication.

3. Prohibit harassment, abuse, demeaning, or threatening behavior.

4. Refrain from using the Website and/or the Services for commercial or advertising purposes or spamming.

5. Avoid posting defamatory, obscene, or infringing content during the Event or via the Website and/or the Services.

6. Refrain from engaging in harmful or criminal conduct.

Reporting Code of Conduct Violations

If you observe or experience a violation of the Code of Conduct, or have concerns about inappropriate behavior, contact a member of the Seafoodie.no team or email [email protected]

Consequences of Violating the Code of Conduct

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated at any Event. Violating the Code of Conduct may result in Seafoodie.no canceling your Event registration without warning and/or denying you access to the Event. You may also be barred from registering for or attending future Events.

Multimedia Policy

Attendees are prohibited from recording or broadcasting any Event sessions. Additionally, Attendees may not make audio or video recordings of any activities involving other Attendees without their prior written consent. By attending an Event, you agree that Seafoodie.no may capture any part of the Event, including your voice and/or image, for various purposes, including marketing and promotion.

Guest Speakers

Guest speakers invited to share perspectives at Events are not Seafoodie.no employees or representatives. Their views and opinions are their own and do not necessarily reflect Seafoodie.no’s.

Chat & Collaboration

When using the Chat & Collaboration feature, compliance with the Terms of Use is mandatory. Attendees can control their participation preferences, including chat visibility and name display. Transcripts of all chats will be retained by Seafoodie.no for safety and security.

Data Protection and Personal Information

Seafoodie.no utilizes the personal information provided during Event registration for Event management, including updates and communications. Your contact information may be shared with Event sponsors if you attend sessions involving sponsors or consent to communications from sponsors. Seafoodie.no may disclose personal information to third-party service providers supporting the Event. For details, refer to Seafoodie.no’s Privacy Policy

14. GENERAL

Governing Law – The Agreement is governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the County of Oslo and the federal laws of Norway without regard to their conflicts of laws provisions. Any dispute relating to these Terms and/or the Site shall be resolved in the the supreme court of Norway, sitting in Oslo, Norway, and you hereby irrevocably consent and attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of that Court. To the extent permitted by law, you agree that any disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Site and/or these Terms, will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.

These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy published at seafoodie.no and any other legal notices published by Seafoodie.no on the Website, constitute the entire agreement between you and Seafoodie.no concerning the Website and/or Service.

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of the Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect.

No Waiver – If you breach any of this Agreement and we choose not to immediately act, or choose not to act at all, we will still be entitled to all rights and remedies at any later date, or in any other situation, where you breach these Terms. We do not waive any of our rights. We shall not be responsible for any purported breach of these Terms caused by circumstances beyond our control. A person who is not a party to these Terms shall have no rights of enforcement.

Seafoodie.no Integration with Third-Party Services:

Seafoodie.no integrates with third-party services (e.g., Zoom, YouTube, Spotify, Soundcloud) to automate the ingestion of media assets from the third-party service to the Services. By utilizing these third-party integrations, you agree and acknowledge that media assets ingested from third-party services and associated with Seafoodie.no are processed according to the same guidelines informed in this document.

Processing and retention of data from third-party services may also be subject to the privacy policies and terms of use of those third-party services.

In particular,Seafoodie.no’s YouTube integration uses the YouTube API Services. By using Seafoodie.no’s YouTube integration, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and acknowledge that such use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy (https://www.google.com/policies/privacy). In addition to Seafoodie.no’s normal procedures for managing and deleting the media assets, you can manage and revoke the Seafoodie.no’s YouTube integration’s access to data via the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
